I Have owned more expensive units costing 1000-1400. I took my chance on this one. At first the unit would not climb, then it just stopped working. I must say at first I was disappointed, so I returned it to the Manufacturer for a replacement. The new one worked fantastic! It climbs walls doesn't scrub the water line but will clean up to it. That is not a problem for me, as non of the other models did a great at this. It does a great job on the bottom and cleans the deep end as well as the shallow end. Will not climb stairs, but don't get hung up on that, none of the previous models did a good job at that either.

The unit is able to go up the steep grade in my pool were other models I have owned would fall back down to the deep end. In addition, it has a great feature: if it senses that it is stuck- like on the pickup drains on the bottom, it will pop a wheely and navigate out of its stuck position. The more expensive units I had owned would get stuck and I would have to pull them off the main suction drain.

The unit is light and easy to pickup out of the water. The filter design is very easy to remove and clean and a breeze to put back on. I found that the Dolphin was the most difficult and the hayward cartridge design was not as effective as the bag type.

Another plus is the entire unit is modular: meaning that you can buy a replacement motor or brush and replace them yourself. Once it goes out of warranty this feature will be a benefit.

I would recommend this unit to anyone that is looking for the best bang for the buck. plus it comes with a Caddy...
Buy It!

They is a diamond amoungst a bunch of glass. I have had them all. Polaris, Krawley and other Hayward junk. Hayward should stick to pumps and filters. This one I thought would be no better. I have been running the Nitro for 12 months. I was wary as it looked to flimsy but it works like crazy. My pool has never been cleaned so well. I have some redwoods that the neighbors have that drop their very spikey needles and my own Texas Umbrellas (China Berry) which are in full fall with the long stick type of leaf stems. And it cleans the china berry's themselves that the squirrels cut in half and litter the pool with this time of year. All of it gets sucked in and devoured. Cleaning it out is easy and no clogs in the suck holes. No wimmpy jambs in the wings. No breaking of the mechanism. I am delighted. My only cavaets are they didn't use stainless on some of the inside screws which I replaced. The bag which I thought wasn't so tough is. No holes or damage after a year.

Evolution Robotics Mint Automatic Hard Floor Cleaner, 4200

Evolution Robotics Mint Automatic Hard Floor Cleaner, 4200

Product Description
Mint sweeps and mops hard surface floors automatically, using popular dry and pre-moistened disposable cleaning cloths or re-usable microfiber cleaning cloths (included). Dry sweeping mode is ideal for picking up dust, dirt and hair. And Mint's special mopping motion gets deeper dirt and grime off your floors. Guided by the North Star Navigation System, Mint tracks where it cleans so it doesn't miss a spot. Mint starts by cleaning open areas, moving methodically back and forth across the floor. Mint detects and cleans around furniture and other obstacles as it encounters them. Mint then follows with a perimeter sweep along the edges of furniture and baseboards, then returns to where it started and parks itself. Smart sensors help Mint avoid area rugs and raised carpet transitions, detect areas that are too low to enter and avoid falling down stairs.

Product Features
  • Cleans up to 3 hours on a single charge
  • Compact size gets under furniture and other hard to reach places
  • Square shape cleans all the way into corners
  • Low maintenance - no bins to empty or filters to replace
  • Whisper quiet operation

I have LOTs of hardwood floors in my house that I swept daily before I got my Mint (whom we affectionately call "Earl"). We charge it up and let it run either in the morning or at night while we are asleep. Now I have those just cleaned floors every day. My family can freely walk barefoot without all those little crumbs that stick to your feet. And all that time I was sweeping and mopping are going into much more productive things like spending time with my kids and in general, being less stressed.

It just works like a charm and so worth the investment.

As a busy mother (two children and pets!) I've found the Evolution Robotics MINT to be incredible! I'm able to reach dust bunnies I didn't even know were there and really clean my hard wood floors, bathroom tile and linoleum in our washroom all while the laundry is going & the dishwasher --- and I'm enjoying time playing with my kids!
I've taken multi-tasking to a whole new level with Evolution Robotics Mint. Mint is worth a mint but is actually very inexpensive. It is like having my own housecleaner available 24/7 without a repeated cost. The mint works great around table legs and chairs...it is great with all the pet hair and my long hair. Mint is pretty phenomenal in that it does all the work and doesn't miss a spot. It is so quiet you can run Mint while you are sleeping. It actually does a better job of cleaning my hard wood floors than me! Thanks Evolution Robotics!!

iRobot Roomba 410 Intelligent Floorvac Robotic Vacuum Cleaner, Red

Product Description
Amazon.com

Sporting a bold, solid-red exterior, this entry-level robotic floorvac is easy to use and includes an array of convenient features. Simply press the "clean" button and the unit will vacuum the whole floor, adjusting automatically to any floor surface including wood, tile linoleum, and low-to-medium pile carpet. The vacuum's artificial intelligence determines the room size and adjusts the run time to ensure that it cleans the entire floor. Integrated sensors detect dirt and will increase the focus and intensity of cleaning in that area, while infra-red cliff sensors in the non-marring bumper detect stairs to keep the unit from falling, as well as furniture and walls for cleaning right up to the edge.

The high-efficiency vacuum has a wide cleaning path and a three-stage cleaning system, which includes counter-rotating brushes that scoop large debris into the dustbin, plus a vacuum to pick up fine particles, dirt, and pet hair. This unit has one of the highest CPRs (coverage per room) in the industry and can get floors cleaner than conventional upright vacuums with the ability to clean where they can't, like under beds, couches, and other furniture.

Its edge-cleaning spinning sidebrush, combined with wall-following technology, removes dirt and debris from the base of walls, from corners, and other hard-to-reach places. The vacuum's stasis sensor detects when it's stuck and employs pre-programmed escape routines to free itself, while setting up a virtual wall, an invisible beam of light, confines the unit to a designated area, great for one-room cleaning.

The vacuum's advanced power system consists of a fast-charging battery, a seven-hour charger, and a power source--it supercharges the unit for up to 120 minutes of continuous cleaning. You can also purchase Roomba's 4900 Self-Charging Drive-On Home Base as an accessory. With this, when the battery is low or it has completed a cleaning cycle, the vacuum automatically returns to the charging Home Base, so that it will be ready for the next cleaning session.

The bagless unit is designed with an easy-to-empty debris bin that is three times the size of other robotic floorvacs so it doesn't have to be emptied as often. Convenient cleaning modes include Spot mode, which sets the unit to quickly and intensely clean in a 3-foot diameter. Replaceable air filters prevent dust and dirt from escaping back into the air, and removable-by-hand brushes allow for quick, routine maintenance. A battery, charger, virtual-wall unit, and filter pack are included. The vacuum measures approximately 13 inches in diameter by 4 inches high and carries a one-year warranty.

Product Features
  • Entry-level robotic floorvac with dirt detection and infra-red cliff sensors
  • Auto adjusts to any floor surface; 2-hour continuous cleaning; easy-to-empty debris bin
  • Edge-cleaning sidebrush; stasis sensor; virtual wall for confining to designated area
  • Battery charger, 1 virtual wall, and filter pack included
  • Measures approximately 13 by 4 inches; 1-year warranty

The Floor Robot Vacuum Cleaner - A Real Time Saver

The Floor Robot Vacuum Cleaner - A Real Time Saver
By Ned D'Agostino

Are you tired of vacuuming your floors and carpets every day? You might want to consider a floor robot vacuum cleaner to help you on those days that vacuuming just isn't going to fit into your schedule.

This style of vacuum cleaner is unique in that it works by itself with simply one touch of a button from you. There is at least one model on the market that will turn on without you even being in the house. Using the Internet, the robot vacuum can be activated when you are in a completely different location. This small, round vacuum cleaner can be programmed to clean your carpets or floors at a certain time of the day without your help.

The robot vacuums use sensors to detect dirt and grime on your carpets or floors. If it senses more dirt in one area, it will spend more time cleaning that area. Typically, this type of vacuum will randomly go over the entire area four times to make sure it is clear of debris, dust and lint. Probably the greatest feature of this type of vacuum cleaner is that it can fit underneath the furniture and the beds.

Different models of the robot vacuum use ultrasound technology or sensors to avoid bumping into walls, the pet water bowl, or furniture. A few of the less expensive models only stop when they bump into an object, which could be your couch or your wood baseboards, and can scratch furniture or walls over time. It's best to purchase one outfitted with rubber bumpers to reduce possible damage to your home.

Are these robot vacuums able to get your home as clean as a traditional upright or canister vacuum? Despite the fact there are models that have a built-in brush that is supposed to clean along the edge of the wall, this robot cleaner doesn't effectively clean corners or areas around plants, the toilet, etc. You'll still need to perform detail cleaning every now and then in addition to the robot vacuum cleaning the high traffic areas.

This style of vacuum cannot negotiate stairs, so those are still yours to clean. Also, if you have fringed rugs, it's a good idea to remove them if possible, or the robot vacuum may get stuck on the fringe and need rescued.

This type of vacuum will work on carpets, wood or tile floors and are designed to clean up not only dirt, debris, and lint, but pet hair and small spills as well.

At least one of the models is programmed to "know" when it needs to be recharged and will return to its base by itself to recharge. These vacuums range in price from very affordable to somewhat pricey, so there is a style for everyone.

The robot vacuums can be a real time saver, provided you have the time for it to do its work. If you know you have surprise guests arriving in 15 minutes, this type of vacuum isn't the most time efficient. However, if you are going to be at work all day, it is the perfect solution for maintaining high traffic areas. Just turn it on before you leave and come home to clean floors.

You'll still need to empty the floor robot vacuum cleaner so it is ready for its next job. The advantages to this type of vacuum is that it is small, operates on its own, and does a pretty good job of cleaning, without much effort on your part.

To learn more about the robot vacuum cleaner visit http://www.vacuum-cleaner-online.com , a popular website designed to give people the information they need to choose the right vacuum for their home. You'll also find out why the vacuum cleaner bag is becoming a thing of the past.

Neato XV-11 All Floor Robotic Vacuum System

Neato XV-11 All Floor Robotic Vacuum System

Amazon.com Product Description

Designed to meticulously clean floors on a daily basis, the Neato XV-11 All Floor Robotic Vacuum Cleaner covers every inch of your floors, smartly seeing and working around furniture, stairs, and more. And its simple user interface allows you to schedule the XV-11 to clean your rooms while you are away.

Neato's laser-based Room Positioning System gives the robot vacuum a full 360-degree view of a room so it can create a map of the room, detecting walls, doorways, furniture and other obstacles. Using its map, the Neato XV-11 avoids most obstacles that other robots can only detect by impact. Just press the Start button and your Neato determines the best cleaning path to clean the floors using its unique, methodical straight-line pattern.

Once it finishes cleaning one entire room, the XV-11 drives through one of the "recognized doorways," to start cleaning the next room. And, with its powerful vacuum suction, it picks up all your dirt, debris, and pet hair on your floors. Schedule it to clean every day with just a few button presses. Your home will always have that "just cleaned" look.

It's Smart

The Room Positioning System (RPS) is the proprietary technology that makes Neato as smart as--sometimes smarter--than a human housekeeper. It sees 360 degrees, maps out your room, and then methodically vacuums every square inch, carefully avoiding any furniture, obstacles and stairs. Go ahead and rearrange the furniture: Neato will adapt its course without missing a beat.

Additionally, if running low on power, the XV-11 returns to its charging base, recharges, and then returns to where it left off and finishes the cleaning job--making it a great choice for houses larger open floorplans.

It's Powerful

The high-performance vacuum inside your robot works in a precise back-and-forth motion, picking up even tiny specks, and easily sliding under sofas, tables and beds. It works on all floor types--carpet, rugs, hardwood, Pergo, and tile--so you never have to clean another floor, even in your bathroom.

It's Simple

Just charge it up, press the Start button, and watch it work. Once it's finished in one room, it will begin working in the next--or return automatically to its base for recharging and resume cleaning where it left off. Schedule everyday cleaning with a few simple button presses and your house is always ready for guests, even when you've been out all day.

Neato Innovations

Some of the other innovative features and benefits of the Neato XV-11 all-floor vacuum cleaner include:
  • Scuff-free navigation: At the vacuum's core is a centrifugal compression impeller that follows jet engine airflow principles. It creates sustained high-powered suction, allowing the Neato XV-11 to thoroughly pick up dirt and debris.
  • Low-profile access: The robot's RPS technology constantly updates its internal map so it can accurately detect objects greater than four inches in height and carefully clean around them without damaging furniture and walls.
  • Smart design and large dirt bin: The robot vacuum cleaner's low profile (less than four inches high) allows it to clean under beds, sofas, and toe-kicks in the kitchen.
  • Self-docking to re-power: After completing its cleaning, it returns automatically to its base to re-charge itself. By utilizing the charging base, the robot is charged and ready to go when it's needed most
  • Cleaning scheduler: With its easy-to-use interface, consumers can schedule the robot to clean every day, resulting in a more spotless home.

What's in the Box

Neato XV-11 robot vacuum, charging base, power adapter, batteries, boundary markers, filter replacement package, quick start guide, user guide. Backed by a 1-year limited warranty.

Robot Vacuum Cleaners - Eleven Reasons to Get One (robotic vacuum cleaner)

Robot Vacuum Cleaners - Eleven Reasons to Get One
By Alice Wang

This should really be titled "Why I Love my Robot Vacuum Cleaner." I've put together a list of reasons why you should get one. They're cool. They're robots, and they clean your house. What more can a person ask for?

1) The Roomba Really Cleans. This is something that an owner of a Roomba can see for themselves. When you empty the robot, all this dirt and dust and hair falls out. You may be saying: But that happens with my normal vacuum cleaner. Test it out. Vacuum your living room as thoroughly as you can manage, and then set the Roomba to vacuum it after you. It'll come back with more dirt than you would expect. I'm not sure exactly how the technology works, but iRobot has definitely figured out how to make a robot clean a floor.

2) Vacuum Daily! Something that was unthinkable before suddenly becomes a possibility. Vacuum Daily! Why not? I'm not exactly what you would call a neat freak, but we have hardwood floors. Vacuuming daily keeps our house free of the little gritty pieces of tracked in dirt that can be so annoying on hardwood floors. Of course, you will need to empty your robot vacuum when it gets full and clean the brushes here and there, but that's not a big deal. I would bet that if you suffer from allergies, using this strategy would be helpful, especially with pet dander.

3) Roombas Clean Under Furniture - It's way easier to clean under furniture and beds with a robot. You can't really get a normal vacuum cleaner under a bed, so you're stuck doing other things which are much less pleasant, like crawling around on the floor with a duster or broom, or moving the furniture. A Roomba can fit under chairs, dining room tables, desks, coffee tables, and other furniture. Dust bunnies will be a thing of the past.

4) Watch the robot vacuum work. I will be the first to admit that I still find the Roomba fascinating to watch. I have found myself following it around the house. It will bump into obstacles, disappear under furniture, zoom over to stairs and stop, and then pester your pets. Complicated furniture arrangements like dining room chairs become mini robot obstacle courses. Sometimes the vacuum cleaner will take a while to get away from them. I'll admit, it's not as dramatic as watching an episode of 24, but it's very amusing.

5) Roombas can be scheduled. Most of the iRobot line can do this today. We don't take advantage of this much, we admit. For us, it's easy enough to grab the robot and turn it on before we leave in the morning. Our house is small and the robot vacuum can clean a floor on one charge. We come home to find it on the automatic self-charger (at least most times). With the iRobot models that do this, you can schedule seven cleanings each week. If you have a large house, you should be able to come up with a system that doesn't make you have to work very hard to get the whole house clean. One problem with this strategy is that sometimes Roombas get stuck. Once we've had ours get wedged under a piece of furniture. Another time, it got stuck going over some cords. The iRobot Roombas have special technology to help keep them from getting stuck on cords and carpet fringes, so it isn't as much of a problem as you might expect. We were able to adjust our cables and furniture so that the Roomba wouldn't get stuck while vacuuming.

6) Roomba Remote Control. If you get tired of watching it zip around the room, you can get more amusement by using the remote control to drive your robot under all those obstacles. This isn't a totally superfluous option. If there's an especially dirty area of your floor, you can use the remote to make sure the area gets a thorough cleaning. The Roomba is going to clean the area anyway, but it's fun!

7) Got Pets? Get a Roomba. I love having pets, but I'm not so excited about cleaning up cat hair. If you've got pets then you know what I'm talking about. The hair gets tracked around and ends up in clumps. What's on your floor ends up on the furniture. So it's great to have a robot cleaning up all that hair. iRobot has a couple of Roombas that are specifically designed for pets. The current models are the 532 and 562 "Pet Series" vacuum cleaners.

8) It's a robot! Yes, it's a robot vacuum cleaner. That's really cool in and of itself. I may not be commuting to work in a hovercraft, but at least I have a robot that cleans my house. It's also something your friends will want to see.

9) Make Cool Roomba Videos. There is no shortage of cool videos of iRobot Roombas on YouTube. Click here to see a search on YouTube. You can join the pack and film your own masterpiece.

10) Get Your Mad Scientist On. iRobot has designed the Roomba and published information that makes it easy to be a hardware hacker and do your own diabolical robot experiments with it. Maybe you want to put a telepresence camera on it, or a nerf gun. iRobot has already put the hard work into building a dependable mobile platform. Now you can turn it into something cooler! See the iRobot Create for the Roomba educational system.

11) I added an extra reason. One thing that's cool about Roombas is that there is a community. Here's a cool site if you're looking for more information about Roomba vacuum cleaners. There are educational users, robot fans, and people who talk about what the best Roomba models are on forums. Dig in!

Alice Wang is a writer who is also an expert on kitchen gadgets. She also keeps fish in a pond in her back yard. She writes about gadgets mostly. A great example being robot vacuum cleaners. More to come!

iRobot 44001 Roomba Vacuum-Cleaning Robot

Robotic Vacuum Cleaner

iRobot 44001 Roomba Vacuum-Cleaning Robot

Product Description
With a simple touch of the "clean" button, this entry-level vacuuming robot picks up amazing amounts of dirt and debris, keeping the whole floor effortlessly clean. The powerful unit automatically adjusts to any floor surface including wood, tile, linoleum, and low- to medium-pile carpet, while its counter-rotating brushes reach deep into carpet fibers to lift dust, pet hair, cat litter, food crumbs, and more.

After determining the room size, the vacuum's artificial intelligence adjusts the run time to ensure thorough cleaning of the entire floor surface. Because it cleans under furniture, along walls, and other hard-to-reach areas, it actually vacuums more of the floor than a standard upright can.

A gentle-touch bumper system senses obstacles so the vacuum automatically slows its approach, gently touches the obstacle, then redirects to continue cleaning under or around the object. The vacuum also senses dirtier areas and spends more time cleaning them, plus it can be set to Spot mode for fast cleaning of messy spills.

Even more, built-in infra-red cliff sensors make it possible for the cleaner to avoid stairs and other drop-offs, and invisible barriers can be set using the unit's virtual-wall system. To mark off-limit areas, simply place a virtual wall at a doorway or other opening and adjust the infrared beam setting to the distance of the opening. The unit automatically detects the beam and will not go past it.

Two virtual walls, a power supply, a rechargeable battery, an extra filter, and a brush cleaning tool come included. The vacuuming robot measures approximately 13-1/5 by 13-1/5 by 3-1/5 inches and carries a one-year limited warranty.

Product Features
  • Vacuuming robot for any type of hard-surface floor and low- to medium-pile carpet
  • Counter-rotating brushes; dirt sensor; Spot mode; gentle-touch bumper system

Customer Review
By Sara Nelson "Sara" (DC area)
We purchased this Roomba (our second) at Target a few months ago. The old Roomba was a scheduling one, we used it more when we were home and it was over 4 years old. It was time to get something that worked the way we needed it to work.

We have three level home and it's nice to have the entire house vacuumed on one level and not really have to do anything. You need to remove any area rugs, I just roll them up and put them all in one area of the house. I also make sure that cords are picked up out of the way and that low areas are blocked. This one runs a little nosier than the old one, but, it still does the job. I do use the two blockers that came with the Roomba when needed, but, usually I let it run free rein on our main living level.

On a full charge Roomba will vacuum the entire living floor. Living room, powder room, front hall, dining room, kitchen, family room. It's about an hour, so I usually am on another floor while it's working. I've also just sat and read a book while it works. It doesn't get the corners in the kitchen really well, but, hey, if that's all I have to vacuum with the hand-held, then I'll take it. We have a three year old that lives with us, so, crumbs and other great things are always on the floor. I run it on the upper level on a full charge as well. Master bedroom, bathroom and closet as well as guest room and hallway. Other rooms are closed off. I really could do it on a half-charge. I always charge it fully before using it. It's usually about an hour or two before the charge is completed.

When I clean it out, before each use, I use a small air compressor and blow out all the dust as well as clean the filter and dust catcher pocket. I use the tool packed with it for cleaning the brushes. This helps keep the filter in better shape and I haven't changed the filter yet as it's still brand new. This one is definitely easier to clean, improvements over the previous Roomba are time savers for me. Maintenance like this will help keep it working at it's best. It takes me less than 5 minutes to totally clean everything. I've been doing it for a years, so, it may take someone a little longer that's new to the way Roomba is put together.

I would recommend this for everyone. I would give it as a gift to a newlywed couple as well as someone older.

Amazon.com Product Description

With dramatically improved navigation, cleaning coverage, vacuum pickup, and particle filtration, the Roomba 530 vacuuming robot picks up amazing amounts of dirt and debris with the simple touch of a button. The powerful unit features innovative spinning side brushes that grab dirt and dust from corners and along wall edges, as well as two high-speed, counter-rotating brushes that pick up pet hair, cat litter, food crumbs, and other debris from floors. The vacuum sucks up the debris and deposits it into a large, easy-to-empty bagless dustbin, and its improved fine-filtration system traps dust, pollen, and other allergens inside the unit, reducing infiltration into the living environment.
For added convenience, the vacuum's cleaning head automatically adjusts to transition from wood, tile, and linoleum to carpets and rugs, while improved anti-tangle technology ensures it won't get stuck on cords and rug fringe. If the unit begins to pick up a cord or carpet tassel, it will automatically reverse the direction of its brushes to extract the item. A gentle-touch bumper system senses obstacles so the vacuum automatically slows its approach, gently touches the obstacle, then redirects to continue cleaning under or around the object. Because it cleans under beds, couches, and other hard-to-reach areas, it actually vacuums more of the floor than a standard upright can. The vacuum also senses dirtier areas and spends more time cleaning them, and it uses built-in cliff sensors to avoid stairs and other drop-offs. In addition, invisible barriers can be set using the unit's Virtual Wall system. To mark off-limit areas, simply place a Virtual Wall at a doorway or other opening and adjust the infrared beam setting to the distance of the opening. The unit automatically detects the beam and will not cross it.

The vacuuming robot returns to its self-charging Home Base to dock and recharge between cleaning cycles or when the battery starts to run low. Its advanced power system consists of a fast-charging battery, a three-hour charger, and a power source that supercharges the unit for up to 120 minutes of continuous cleaning, covering about three to four average-size rooms on a single charge. Other accessories include two Virtual Walls (that require two D batteries each), a brush cleaning tool, and an extra filter. The vacuuming robot measures 16-3/4 by 21 by 5 inches and carries a one-year limited warranty.

Yes, It Really Works
This smart, powerful, and autonomous vacuum features iRobot’s proven and patented three-stage cleaning system. First, innovative spinning side brushes grab dirt and debris from corners and along wall edges, then two high-speed, counter-rotating brushes pick up pet hair, food crumbs, and other debris. The powerful vacuum sucks up the debris and deposits it into a large, easy-to-empty bagless dustbin.

The improved fine-filtration system traps dust, pollen, and other allergens inside the robot, reducing infiltration into your living environment. The cleaning head automatically adjusts to transition from wood, tile, and linoleum to carpets and rugs. Improved anti-tangle technology ensures it won’t get stuck on cords and rug fringe. If Roomba begins to pick up a cord or carpet tassel, it will automatically reverse the direction of its brushes to extract the item. Roomba senses dirtier areas and spends more time cleaning them, and it uses built-in cliff sensors to avoid stairs and other drop-offs. When the job is done, Roomba returns to its self-charging Home Base to dock and recharge between cleaning cycles or when the battery is running low.

Easy to Use
The Roomba 530 features a friendly and informative audio voice demonstration that walks you through initial setup and alerts you when Roomba requires maintenance or assistance. Starting a cleaning cycle is simple--just press the "Clean" button and Roomba does the rest. First it will calculate the size of the room, the obstacles in the room, and the cleanliness of the floors. Then it goes to work all by itself. At the end of each cleaning cycle, Roomba 530 returns to its Home Base to dock and recharge. Yes, it’s that simple. Routine maintenance is a snap. The large-capacity bagless bin is easy to slide out, empty, and click back into place. The brushes and filters can be easily removed by hand for routine cleaning and maintenance.

Smart and Efficient
Roomba calculates the appropriate cleaning time and pattern for each area and adjusts its behavior over 67 times per second to achieve the most thorough cleaning result. On average, Roomba covers every part of the floor four times. A gentle-touch bumper system senses obstacles, so Roomba automatically slows its approach, gently touches the obstacle, then redirects to continue cleaning under or around the object. Because it cleans under furniture, Roomba actually vacuums more of the floor than a standard upright can--and you don’t even have to push it around. Roomba’s Virtual Wall creates an invisible barrier that it will not cross (two Virtual Walls are included with the Roomba 530). To mark off-limit areas, simply place a Virtual Wall at a doorway or other opening and adjust the infrared beam setting to the distance of the opening. Roomba automatically detects the beam and will not cross it. The vacuum's advanced power system consists of a fast-charging battery, a three-hour charger, and a power source that supercharges the unit for up to 120 minutes of continuous cleaning, covering about three to four average-size rooms on a single charge. When the battery is low or when Roomba has completed a cleaning cycle, it automatically returns to the self-charging Home Base to dock and recharge. As a member of the newest generation of Roomba innovation, the Roomba 530 features a more powerful vacuum and redesigned high-speed, counter-rotating brushes that pick up more dirt, pet hair, dander, cat litter, crumbs, leaves, and other debris.

Robot Vacuum Cleaners - Let Them Do the Work! (robotic vacuum cleaner)

Robotic Vacuum Cleaner

Technology is something that is always going to evolve and change. The good news for us is that as it changes, it makes life easier for us! This has never been more true than it is when it comes to robot vacuum cleaners. These little battery powered cleaners are slowly making their way into homes across North America.

Robot vacuum cleaners first entered the scene in 2001, invented by Electrolux. They weren't perfected until the Roomba vacuums came out, which perfected the idea of having a cordless vacuum and took them to the next level of convenience.

Imagine coming home from work, finding out that your kids or your dog made a big mess, and you're so tired that you can't even think about hauling out your vacuum cleaner to clean it all up. Well, when you have a robot vacuum, you will never have to worry about that scenario happening to you, because these little cleaning machines have a mind of their own, and are more than happy to do all of the grunt work for you.

Today's robot vacuum cleaners are more advanced than ever. They are made smaller so that they are able to get into those hard to reach places, like underneath furniture. Today's vacuum cleaners can clean right up against the walls, which most manual vacuums can't even do! Special sensors will detect where there is dirt and then suck it all up before you even have a chance to see it.

If you are worried about putting your robot vacuum on the top floor of your house, you can stop worrying. Most of these brilliant little vacuum cleaners can detect where there are stairs, and then avoid them! This way, you won't have to worry about it falling down the stairs and becoming damaged.

Probably the smartest thing that these little robots do is once they can no longer detect dirt in your rooms, they will automatically take themselves back to their recharging station to charge up its battery for the next time it will be needed around the home. Next time you have a little mess, it will get right back to work cleaning up after you, your children, your pets, your guests, and anybody else who may make a mess on your floors.

These little vacuum cleaners with brains are becoming more affordable all the time. As they gain popularity, and more companies start making them, the price is slowly decreasing. Right now it is almost at a point where anybody can afford one! Some of them are even cheaper than most upright vacuum cleaners, and they do a better job too!

Stop worrying about your carpet not being clean enough and pick yourself up a robot vacuum cleaner. They can do a world of good for your home, and you will never have to worry about dragging out that old heavy manual vacuum ever again. As long as your new vacuums batteries are charged, it will get right to work making your life easier.
